Workers from the UBC are protesting outside National Treasury in Pretoria today.
The protest is over pension and provident fund money that has not been paid to former workers. They want the government to create a central system where workers can search for their money and claim it for free, investigate funds that were closed while still owing members, and stop administrators from using missing records or charging fees as reasons to reduce or reject claims.
